I am happy to announce my latest news regarding 'White Rabbit' being
accepted for Exhibition in Print for Mosaic Art NOW magazine's 2010
annual edition.
HOT OFF THE PRESS
WAKEFIELD, MA . . . . . . Bill
Buckingham, Editor/Publisher of Mosaic Art NOW has released the
names of the 18 international artists and Best in Show Winner for
the Exhibition in Print portion of the magazine’s 2010 annual
edition.
301 artists from 25 countries submitted full and detail photos of
521 fine art mosaics for consideration by juror Scott Shields, PhD.,
Chief Curator of the Crocker Art Museum of Sacramento,
California.“All of the pieces included here were made by artists –
ones who have added to the mosaic tradition and pushed its
boundaries, each time making abundantly evident that the art form is
alive and well,” said Shields.
Artists whose work will be
included in the Exhibition in Print are: Doreen Adams (USA), Jolino
Bessera (USA), Ellen Blakeley (USA), Irina Charney (USA), Maylee
Christie (UK), Candace Clough (USA), Piotr Czapracki (Poland), Julie
Dilling (USA), Karen Dimit (USA), Gary Drostle (UK), Sophie Drouin
(Canada), Pamela Goode (USA), Jeannie Houston Antes (USA), Gwyn
Kaitis, Laurie Peters and Andryea Natkin (USA), Nirit Keren
(Israel), Kate Kerrigan (USA), Julie Lucus (USA), and Giulio Menossi
(Italy).

Thie issue of Mosaic Art Now will be out around the 15th February
and I'm sure it will be an exciting issue for many reasons.
Also being published this year is another book by artist/author Brit
Hammer...the title of her latest book is 'Breakout' due out
approximately February 2010 and it will be featuring more of my
mosaics investigating Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventure's in
Wonderland.

Rabbit' from
my Alice's Adventures in Wonderland series.
This will be my second exhibition in
Southern California which I am very excited about.
The reception and award presentation will be held
on Saturday, July 11th 2009 from 7 - 9 p.m.
Brit Hammer will be working on her 3rd book
which will be called 'Breakout'. so wish me luck as I work towards

Entries are now being accepted from international artists
working in any media whose work is informed by mosaic and

October 2008 - My work has been included in Mosaic
Yearbook, an international portfolio of contemporary mosaic
art. My mosaic 'Cheeseburger' was chosen to dorn the front cover
of the 2008 CD Cover.
The 2008 edition of this digital magazine will no-doubt
become a collector's item. Mosaic Yearbook is available

The Society of
American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) 8th Annual International juried
exhibition takes place at the Museum of Man in San Diego, California
between February 28 and April 26. I'm happy to say my cheeseburger
mosaic has been chosen for the exhibit. more

Also the
month of August brought another amazing surprise. I had 2 of my fine art
mosaics accepted by a juried show in Pam Goode’s
Ciel Gallery in
Charlotte, North Carolina.
Pam wrote. “I'm thrilled to
report that our juror Giulio selected both Frogs and Steps to be
exhibited at Ciel! Exhibiting these works will be an honor and a
pleasure”.
